About Us

The WOC Book Club is an online literary community for WOC and gender non-conforming POC who are inspired by literature and writing (or hoping to read more literature and writing) that reflects our multitude of experiences, realities, and histories. We center, promote, and circulate books written by WOC and gender non-conforming people of color—sharing the transformative and liberatory powers of reading literature that deeply reflects who you are.

⁣While we are currently operating as a book club, in the future, we are excited to launch a monthly book box featuring literary works written by WOC and gender non-conforming people of color. We are inspired by radical women of color feminist solidarities and committed to building a WOC-centered community and coalition of literary readers.

We are a WOC-founded and owned business committed to creating space for our own narratives. We believe in futures that center women of color—our joy and our trauma—to create kinships of care, belonging, and radical compassion. We draw strength and value from and with one another. We nurture each other. We build new worlds together.
